What can you expect from Boarding with us?
A worry-free experience. We are hoping you leave these worries at the door. Your precious family member will be in loving hands when you can’t be. We provide everything for your Dog’s comfort to make life easier. All our overnight boarders will automatically participate in our doggy daycare program at no additional fee, so they will have lots of fun too throughout the day while you are away. House food is supplied, but you may also bring your own.
Where will my Dog sleep?
We have two separate buildings for our canine housing. One is strictly for medium to large dogs and the other for small breeds and puppies. All our suites are brand new, large, and of the highest quality. Our suites are fully equipped with their own Karanda bed, soft pillow pad, and plenty of fresh water.
Both our canine housing buildings are highly secure, safe, and climate controlled. We play canine-specific lullaby music by icalm pet throughout the day and night while your loved one is resting in their suite to help alleviate any dogs with separation anxiety or stress. Our research found that playing this music helps them relax and sleep better. We have your Dog’s total comfort in mind. We also provide 24-hour care. Your pup will be checked on throughout the night.
We make it a priority to ensure your pet’s safety while they are in our care. We require all guests to complete an evaluation before entering our boarding program. This evaluation will determine whether your pet and our trained team members are safe to play with other dogs.
What should I bring for my dog?
With new smells, new people, and new dogs to adjust to, your dog may feel uneasy during their first few visits to doggy daycare or when boarding overnight with us. We do our best to provide the comforts of home during their stay, but we encourage you to bring some of their belongings that might make them feel more at ease. We want to make your loved one feel as happy and safe as possible. Packing everything your pup needs can give you the peace of mind of knowing they are comfortable in your absence.
Whether you’re bringing your pup to our facility for the first time or they’ve previously visited us, here’s everything you need to pack for their stay.
FOOD
Abruptly switching out your dog’s diet can lead to upset stomachs, diarrhea, allergies, and other side effects. Because of this, we ask you to bring your own food.
Please provide enough food to last the duration of your dog’s stay. If your dog is on dry kibble, we ask that you use small plastic baggies with pre-measured meals labeled “breakfast,” ‘lunch,” and “dinner.” Doing this will ensure you leave enough food for your dog’s stay. If your dog has a special diet, let us know beforehand.
We recommend bringing some extra food just in case your travel plans change. You may also want to consider increasing the food your dog typically eats daily due to increased activity while staying with us.
MEDICATIONS AND SUPPLEMENTS
Many dogs must take medications or supplements, and we will happily administer these as needed per your direction. Please bring them in the original bottle. Please provide clear written instructions and dosage amounts for administering your dog’s medications. This is a state requirement, ensuring we can provide accurate information to a veterinarian in an emergency. Paws at Play does not charge an additional fee for administering medications unless your dog takes five or more medications or supplements.
In some cases, being in an unfamiliar environment can trigger existing ailments in dogs. In addition to regular medications, pack any emergency medications that may be necessary.
REQUIRED PAPERWORK
If you haven’t submitted all the required paperwork online, please bring it. Your pup cannot stay with us without our required documentation.
We are proud of our facility and encourage you to stop by for a tour and meet our staff any time!
